Lia’s Simple Kitchen: Spaghetti with Mussels Recipe Video

Hello food lovers!

Welcome back to Lia’s Simple Kitchen. Today, I’m thrilled to share with you one of my all-time favorite recipes: Spaghetti with Mussels. This classic Italian dish is not only delicious but also incredibly easy to make. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or an elegant weekend meal, this recipe will bring the taste of the Mediterranean to your kitchen.

I’ll guide you through the process. With just a few simple ingredients and some fresh seafood, you’ll be able to create a meal that’s both flavorful and satisfying.

What You’ll Need:

  • 400g of spaghetti
  • 1 kg of fresh mussels
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup of cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of white wine
  • Fresh parsley
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Steps to Make Spaghetti with Mussels:

  1. Prepare the Mussels: Clean the mussels thoroughly under cold water, removing any beards and discarding any open ones that do not close when tapped.
  2. Cook the Spaghetti: In a large pot, cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: While the pasta cooks, heat a generous amount of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add Tomatoes and Mussels: Add the mussels with fresh parsley and pour in the white wine. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook for a few minutes until they start to soften. Cover the pan and let the mussels steam until they open, about 5 minutes.
  5. Combine and Serve: Once the mussels are cooked, drain the spaghetti and add it to the pan with the mussels. Toss everything together, adding fresh parsley, salt, and pepper to taste.
